WATER AT MUSICFESTNW

First and foremost, we at MusicfestNW apologize for any inconvenience patrons experienced at this year’s festival. We are currently reviewing our protocols for next year, and we are focused on doing everything possible to ensure that MusicfestNW continues to be a safe, fun event that all patrons can enjoy. Rest assured, next year we will work to have ample water refilling stations and allow factory sealed water bottles into the festival.

For this year’s MusicfestNW, The Oregon Liquor Control Commission extended a walk-around permit allowing beer and wine throughout the grounds. Because of this, we could not allow personal water bottles into the festival. All beverages being poured were in specific cups cleared by the OLCC with water sold in its original container.

With 8 points of sale throughout the grounds we thought we had our water bases covered. We clearly did not and responded early Sunday by allowing two factory sealed water bottles into the festival and dropped water prices to $1.

We apologize again for any inconvenience suffered by patrons. For the past fourteen years, the city of Portland and our fans have supported us. We appreciate the support, and are working tirelessly to make next year’s festival the safe, fun event Portland expects.
