Q: I’m considering buying a MusicfestNW wristband. What will this get me?
A: A general admission wristband will gain you free access (on a first-come, first-served basis) to every indoor club show during the five days of MFNW. In addition, each wristband purchase includes a guaranteed admission ticket for at least one of the shows at Pioneer Courthouse Square. There are three types of wristbands available for purchase.

• General Admission Wristband: $70*—free access to every indoor club show, plus ONE show of your choice at Pioneer Courthouse Square: Iron & Wine on 9/9, Explosions in the Sky on 9/10, or Band of Horses on 9/11.

• All-Show Wristband: $115*—free access to every indoor club show, plus tickets to ALL THREE shows at Pioneer Courthouse Square— Iron & Wine on 9/9, Explosions in the Sky on 9/10, and Band of Horses on 9/11.

• VIP Wristband: $250* (must be 21+) —immediate entry to all MFNW shows, including the shows at Pioneer Courthouse Square (Nike shows are general entry, see below). You will also receive invites to all of the MFNW parties (details TBD).

*Service fees apply on all ticket/wristband purchases

Q: Is there anywhere other than TicketsWest to buy my wristband?
A: We have chosen TicketsWest as the exclusive ticketing company for MusicfestNW wristbands. MFNW and TickestWest have done everything in our power to keep the charges as reasonable as possible. Wristbands are available online and at TicketsWest terminals, located at places like Music Millennium, Rudy’s Barbershops and many Safeway Stores. Click here for a full list of brokers. You can also come visit us at Willamette Week. We are selling wristbands and tickets for a reduced service fee at our office, located at 2220 NW Quimby St. We are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Q: What about advance tickets to individual shows?
A: We sell advance individual tickets to the shows at the Aladdin Theater, Crystal Ballroom, Roseland Theater and Pioneer Courthouse Square. Check out our ticketing page for all the info.

For all other venues, see the next question.

Q: I want to see a show at Dante’s, Doug Fir…(or any other venue not mentioned in the previous question), but don’t want to purchase a wristband. Can I do that?
A: Yes. During the festival we charge at the door of most clubs. Just show up to the venue and pay the cover charge to the MFNW employee working the door, get your stamp and you’re in! Entry is dependent on available space in the venue, so be sure to arrive early.

Q: First-come, first-served? Am I going to be able to get into anything?
A: We reserve space at every MusicfestNW club venue for wristband holders. Every year, some of these venues fill to capacity at some point during the evening. If there is a band you don’t want to miss, we recommend arriving at the venue as early as possible. Your other options are to buy an advance individual ticket to a club for one night, which guarantees you entry to that one show (this option is only available for shows at the Aladdin Theater, Roseland Theater, Crystal Ballroom and Pioneer Courthouse Square), or to purchase a VIP wristband, which guarantees immediate entry to all MFNW venues (except the Nike venue).  If you have questions, please contact us.

Q: What’s the deal with Nike shows at the Wonder Ballroom?
A: MusicfestNW is excited to partner with Nike Sportswear again this year for a series of free shows at the Wonder Ballroom. The shows are Brand New with The Joy Formidable on September 8th and MSTRKRFT w/ Reptar on September 9th. These shows are free to all MusicfestNW wristband holders, as well as people who pick up a Nike Sportswear pass at Jackpot Records on the day of the show. There will be a limited number of Nike Sportswear passes given out each day. Important: Admission to these shows is on a purely first-come, first-served basis regardless of whether you have a general wristband, VIP wristband or Nike Sportswear pass.

Q: I’m under 21. Can I still buy a wristband?
A: Yes, but there are certain MusicfestNW venues that are 21+. Even with a wristband you won’t be able to get into these clubs. Our three largest venues, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Crystal Ballroom and Roseland Theater, are all-ages venues. To see a full list of venues and restrictions, please click here. You must be 21+ to purchase a VIP wristband.

Q: OK, I bought my wristband and I received a ticket in the mail. Is this my wristband, or do I have to pick that up at the festival?
A: We don’t mail wristbands*.  If you buy a wristband online, we will mail you a ticket that you can exchange for a physical wristband. Before the festival, you can exchange the ticket at either Willamette Week’s office  (2220 NW Quimby St.) or TicketsWest’s office (816 SW 1st Ave.). During the festival you can exchange the ticket at any MusicfestNW venue. Important: Your envelope will include at least one additional ticket, which is for the Pioneer Courthouse Square show you chose (or all three shows if you purchased an all-show wristband). Unless you have a VIP wristband, these tickets are REQUIRED for admission to the shows at Pioneer Courthouse Square.

*Except VIP wristbands.

Q: What happens to the shows at Pioneer Courthouse Square if it rains?
A: MusicfestNW is a rain or shine event.

Q: I want to volunteer to help with MFNW. How can I sign up?
A: We need all sorts of help with MusicfestNW. Please click here to inquire.

Q: I want to cover MusicfestNW for (insert publication or blog). Are press passes available?
A: Yes. To find out more information, please contact our publicist.
